Thomas King, Jr., age 73, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, January 11, at 23 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Elder D.G. Mosley officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Thomas was born April 17, 1951, in Burke County, to the late Thomas King, Sr. and Vera Adams. He was educated in the Burke County Elementary School system and lived most of his life in West Virginia. Thomas worked construction, helping build up Crystal City, VA and nearby areas. He left West Virginia in 2022 and moved to Swainsboro to be near his daughter. Mr. King is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joann Hill; sisters, Sarah Pitters, Marietta Williams, Henrietta Cooper, Vera Mae Badie and Mildred King; brothers, Robert Williams, Thomas Williams and Willie Bee King.

Mr. King is survived by his daughter, Mildred M. King; sister, Priscilla Garvin; brother, Warren Williams; devoted niece, Cassandra Badie; devoted nephew, Timothy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
