The Patrick Carr Rangers Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, held its quarterly meeting Monday night, September 9, at President David Hargrove’s home. With President David presiding, they had eight in attendance. After the blessing and a delicious meal prepared by President David, Treasurer Bill Tinley handed out individual 2025 dues invoices to members present. The East Fall Line Region Vice President Dess Smith III mentioned that last year, the Patrick Carr Rangers Chapter was the first Chapter in the Georgia Society to turn in 100% of its members’ dues. Treasurer Bill said he hopes that they will be first this year. Treasurer Bill then presented his program for the evening. Bill talked about the Colony of Georgia and gave a timeline from its beginning in 1732 to the end of the American Revolution in 1783. James Edward Oglethorpe founded the Colony of Georgia, the last of the thirteen colony’s, 70 years after South Carolina.
