Virginia Howard Turner, age 61, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2026. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, August 1, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Leon Howard officiating.
Virginia was born March 1, 1965, to the late W.T. and Lutisha Howard. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others, especially her family. Virginia was blessed with five children, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was the proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and was overjoyed by the arrival of her precious great-grandson. Virginia was formerly married to Jerome Turner. Although their marriage ended, they maintained a bond built on love, mutual respect and a lifelong friendship. Ms. Turner is preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings.
Ms. Turner leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Anthony Howard, Victoria Howard, Stephanie Howard and Tony Lewis; 11 beloved grandchildren; one treasured great-grandson; sisters, Susie Howard of Connecticut, Lulamae Howard, Bertha Howard, Lutisha Howard and Pennie Howard (Henry), all of Swainsboro; brothers, W.T. Howard (Lulabell), Leon Howard (Cleo) and Clarence Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
