Carroll Van Reynolds, age 79, beloved husband of Joy Reynolds, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, at 2 p.m. at Tri County Baptist Church in Lady Lake, FL.
Carroll was born September 23, 1946, in Savannah, to the late James F. “Monk” Reynolds and Jane C. Reynolds. He proudly served in the US Army as an Intelligence Officer. After his military service,
Van became a skilled attorney, known for his integrity, compassion, and wisdom by clients and community leaders alike. A faithful Christian, Van lived by his faith. His belief in God was reflected in the way he cared for those around him, and he often said that his greatest accomplishment was raising children that knew Jesus. Van was a member of Tri County Baptist Church in Lady Lake, Florida.
Van was deeply loved by his wife, Joy. Their years together were filled with honesty and mutual respect. Though he will be profoundly missed, his family and friends will always have the memory of his compassion, humor, loyalty, and faith. Mr. Reynolds is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Jim “Jeff” Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Joy; children, Sean Reynolds (Deana) of Booneville, MS, Kristin Yoder (Jason) of Greenville, SC, Matthew Douglas (Kortney) of Richmond Hill and Victoria Farmer (Michial) of Smyrna; five grandchildren, Carson and Jocelyn Yoder, Afton and Quin Reynolds and Abigail Douglas; siblings Janey Rabon of Okatie, SC and Mike Reynolds (Myra) of Savannah.
