Mrs. Julia Tapley, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Washington County Extended Care Facility. Funeral services were held Friday, January 31, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God with Rev. Sonny Wilkes officiating. Burial followed in Westview Cemetery. Family received friends Friday, January 31, from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God prior to the service.

Pallbearers were Christian Parker, John Napier, Jr., Jacob Napier, Joshua Napier, Chris Na-pier, Travis Tapley, Matthew Meeks and Michael Caneega.

Mrs. Tapley was born July 4, 1932, in Jefferson County. She was a member of Trinity Assem-bly of God. Mrs. Tapley enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing. She especially loved celebrat-ing her birthday each year on the 4th of July. Mrs. Tapley is preceded in death by her par-ents, Sam C. Purvis and Bonnie Roberts Purvis; siblings, Tanny Purvis, Sam Purvis, Marvin Purvis, Clark Purvis, Faye Goins, Thomas Purvis and Billy Purvis; husband, Harold Martin; son, Sentell Tapley; and grandson, Bryan Tapley.

Mrs. Tapley is survived by her four daughters, Julia Elaine (Roy) Black of Swainsboro, Maga-lene (John) Napier of Sandersville, Kytrena (David) Gay of Millen and Patricia (Terry) Glover of Wrightsville; son, James (Jennifer) Tapley of Guyton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
