Miss Lindsey, Mr. Amerson announce engagement

David and Sherry Lindsey of Metter are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shyann Lindsey, to Trey Amerson. Mr. Amerson is the son of Bobby Jr. and Paula Amerson of Swainsboro.

The bride-elect is a 2017 graduate of Metter High School and a 2022 graduate of Ogeechee Technical College. She is an Optometric Assistant at Professional Eye Care in Statesboro. Miss Lindsey is the granddaughter of the late Albert Johnson, Annette Johnson (Ray) of Metter, and Eddie and Sharon Holly of Cobbtown.

The future groom is a 2016 honor graduate of Swainsboro High School. Trey attended East Georgia State College and graduated from Southeastern Technical College in 2019. He is em-ployed with UPS as a driver. Mr. Amerson is the grandson of Sara Overstreet and the late Billy Overstreet of Swainsboro and Bobby Amerson and Rosa Amerson of Swainsboro.

The wedding is set for October 5, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Ocala Estate in Soperton. A reception will follow at the same location.
