Museum open house scheduled for October

The Historic Society gets questions all the time now about when we are going to be open. This is wonderful! This means people are curious about the museum and surrounding buildings. Our next open house will be Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. No admission is charged.

The photo is of the Stevens Crossing Post Office building, being set up at its new home. Come see the progress since this was taken. All the outbuildings are from around the County, dating from the 1860s to the 1920s.

There are sidewalks and handicap ramps to all the main buildings. Inside the white building is the main museum with thousands of items relating to the people of our county – school photos, military uniforms, business items, a small Coca-Cola collection – all waiting for you to come look at.
