Tomlinson Funeral Home announces the death of Richard Clay Brown, age 64, of Midville, on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 2, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Elder Will Martin officiating. Family received friends Saturday, August 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Hines Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born in Emanuel County to the late Robert Milton and Sarah Virginia Stephens Brown.
Survivors include his five sisters, Beverly Harrison (Jimmy), Barbara Strange (Chan), Susan Drake Bishop, Brenda Andrews (Freddy) and Shirly Paige Jones (Ron); several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
