Henry Lewis, age 82, departed this life peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, June 27, at 11 a.m. at Rountree Chapel Baptist Church in Twin City with Pastor Larry Sherrod officiating.
Jenry was born April 2, 1944, in Emanuel County, to the late Stafford Lewis Sr. and Florie Parrish Lewis. He served his country honorably in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during his military service. After completing his serve, Harry worked as a Certified Welder in Washington, DC until his retirement. He then returned to Twin City where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his memories with his sisters, Ella Tyson of Upper Marlboro, MD and Leila Pearl Warren of Waldorf, MD; brothers, Larry Lewis (Margaret) of Capitol Heights, MD and Stafford Lewis Jr. (Janice) of Atlanta; aunts, Henrietta Anderson of Atlanta and Classie Parris of Swainsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
